Myhurie Parbhoo joined LvA’s Board in 2019. Myhurie is an attorney of the High Court of South Africa with over thirteen years of banking and finance experience. Her current role is that of senior legal counsel in the Securities Based Lending product house of which she was instrumental in the development and establishment of one of South Africa’s ‘big five banks’. She was a junior board member of the Specialised Finance product house and was part of a team responsible for the implementation of a gender equality initiative aimed at addressing the inequalities of the past by coaching, uplifting and implementing sound business practices which will aid the promotion and appointment of women into senior leadership positions. She holds a BCOM Law degree and an LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg and has completed certificate courses in Competition Law, Advanced Company Law I and II and Banking and Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand.
