Phindile Khulu (Phindi) joined LvA’s Board in 2021 where she serves as Treasurer. She currently works as an accountant at the Centre for Applied Legal Studies (CALS), located at Wits Law School, and brings an expansive set of skills in the fields of finance and accounting, business administration, leadership, as well as legal studies. Phindi holds a BCom degree in Accounting and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Leadership (MBL) degree at the UNISA Graduate School of Business Leadership and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. She has also completed several short courses including Project Management, Conflict Management, Advanced Writing and Emotional Intelligence. Phindi’s quest to upskill herself is ongoing and is motivated by the desire to benefit both her practice and the wider community, especially the village where she herself was nurtured and guided.Phindi also serves as a mentor to students under the Cyril Ramaphosa Education Trust and under the School of Law Mentorship Programme and is the public officer for the South African Journal on Human Rights (SAJHR) Trust. According to Phindi, it is never too late to start something new if you have the dedication and drive.
